About the programme

Three years of full-time studies (180 higher education credits) at the programme in Dietetics leads to a professional academic qualification and a license to work as a Dietician. Students studying at the programme in Dietetics programme at Sahlgrenska academy can choose to study a fourth year that leads to a Master of Science in Dietetics corresponding to 240 higher education credits.

Courses for Dietetics students

The program in Dietetics is conducted in Swedish with some courses in English:

Clinical Nutrition - Scientific Methods, 7.5 higher education credits, autumn semester
Dietary Assessment Methods, 7.5 higher education credits, autumn semester
Research Thesis in Clinical Nutrition, 15/ 30 higher education credits, upon request both fall and spring

Swedish-speaking exchange students are welcome to apply for all courses within the programme - more information can be found on GUL, the University of Gothenburg's learning platform.

Following evening course can be offered at the Faculty during the period January -June:

OM3203, Multicultural encounters and intercultural communication in health care, 7.5 hec

Unfortunately, we have no possibility accepting freemover* applicants to courses and clinical placements.

*A freemover is an international student who applies to a university abroad on his/her own, without beeing part of an exchange programme.
