Information for those applying for ALF project funding in Gothenburg

Watch Christina Jern and Lars Grip present this year's ALF funding call for proposals (in Swedish)
The film was recorded on 15 March 2017 at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.

2017 Application

A summary of information for researchers who plan to apply for ALF project funding in Gothenburg in the large 2017 application round.

Applications can be submitted through ResearchWeb, from Thursday 20 April to Thursday 1 June 2017.

Two new agreements, one national and one regional, affect the preconditions for the ALF funding call for proposals. Consequently, several changes have been made in this year’s call for proposals. Among other things, you will need to fill in more details in your application. This information will be used when evaluating ALF funds. The evaluation is important since the Government will reallocate some of the ALF funds at the national level based on these results.

Important dates in this year’s call for proposals

  • Before Thursday 20 April – create or update your profile on ResearchWeb.
  • Thursday 20 April – the application system opens
  • Thursday 1 June at 11.59 PM – the application system closes
  • September and October – assessment meetings for the assessment groups. The groups submit their reports
  • 9 November – Decisions on grants are announced in Hälso-SAM before Christmas – notification

The application will become a public document

Please be aware that your application for ALF project funding becomes a public document and may, in accordance with the Swedish Constitution (Freedom of the Press Act), be disclosed to anyone who requests it. This is especially important for those whose applications contain innovative ideas.

Arrange certificates from the senior administrator well in advance

Please note that you must enclose a certificate signed by the senior administrator within health care that has been scanned and saved as a PDF file. Print the project agreement (‘projektöverenskommelse’) from the application system and arrange to have it signed well in advance of 1 June, when the application period closes.
